Tony Blair admits there is a problem within Islam

Writing in the Mail on Sunday, Tony Blair admits that ‘there is a problem within Islam’ and has urged to Government to ‘be honest’ about it.

Addressing the murder of soldier Lee Rigby, the former prime minister refrained from the usual ‘Islam is a religion of peace’ nonsense and instead wrote:

tony-blair-2-sizedThere is a problem within Islam – from the adherents of an ideology which is a strain within Islam’.

‘We have to put it on the table and be honest about it. Of course there are Christian extremists and Jewish, Buddhist and Hindu ones. But I am afraid this strain is not the province of a few extremists. It has at its heart a view about religion and about the interaction between religion and politics that is not compatible with pluralistic, liberal, open-minded societies.’

‘At the extreme end of the spectrum are terrorists, but the world view goes deeper and wider than it is comfortable for us to admit. So by and large we don’t admit it.’

It’s ironic that Mr. Blair, the hypocrite who defended Labour’s mass immigration policy and told us that Britain would not succeed unless it opened its borders to more people from different backgrounds is now pointing out these facts.

I wonder if Blair is being questioned by the police on his possible ties to the EDL and terrorist Anders Breivik?

That seems to be the easiest way to deal with these types of situations.
